My live account is also opened and I tried to short a stock there and it didn't object to the order.  However that stock, and all others, say they are not shortable in the Autotrader.  Can anyone please help me explain why.  Thanks.

In the log below, it shows that it is unable to retrieve historical data. Does anyone knows the solution to this problem? Thanks for helping out!!!

Hello! Unfortunately, PTL Trader does not support fractional shares trading. At least not at the moment. Sorry.

 Hello,

I really like how this platform works, but I am having a problem. When I connect to the Interactive Brokers platform (Trader Workstation-  stable Build 10.191i Dec13) with PTL Trader, it appears the following thing “IB Notice:id:1000023 code:2176: Your API version does not support fractional share size rules. Please upgrade to a minimum version 163. Trimmed value 9852.87 to 9852.”

I use the TWS API Stable for Windows version: API 10.19 Nv 16 2022 and the Java: jre-8U351-WINDOWS -64. I am also subscribed to Fractional Share Trading.

Please, I would like a solution for this drawback because the program is currently not working.

Sorry, still not supported. Feel free to hire the programmer to implement that if you want it, PTL Trader is now open source.

Correct implementation requires a Forex subscription (EURUSD) and patches to the money management code.

If you don't restrict trading hours for the particular pair (you leave it for example from 9:30 to 15:50 which matches the full trading hours) it will trade within the day in a sense that it can enter and exit position multiple times a day (whenever entry / exit is signaled by the rules).
