Is it possible to run PTL trader on linux  based vps ?

Not at the moment.

But if you will really need it, we can probably build the package for Linux too (it uses SWT, so we will need to package Linux SWT libs instead of Windows libs).

We are thinking about moving away from SWT for PTL Trader 2.0 and make it fully portable.

Anyway, it will still need the X session running (it is a GUI app), but IB Gateway/TWS needs it too.

Set up on linux successful, necessary just to replace swt.jar in ptltrader.jar archive for corresponsing platform and everything works fine. Maybe not so easy for non-developer skilled person, but possible.

PTL Trader v1.3.0 will officially support Linux and macOS (we updated our build system to generate proper packages for all platforms). Will be released next week.
