Title: PTL Alerts
Post by: Roy Fraties on November 19, 2017, 04:57:42 pm
If you are using PTL, and you want it simply to alert you when it thinks it is time to place a trade, rather than actually execute the trade, will it do that.  For example, send an email alert.  Sometimes I like to look at a chart before putting the trigger.  If there is a gap, for example, there may be a reason for the gap and trading for mean reversion may not be appropriate.

Dear Roy,

this feature (email/sound alerts) is on our TODO list, but no estimate for release yet. In the mean time, you can set the strategy or portfolio to "No new positions" or "Fully inactive" state to prevent executions (it will monitor your portfolio though and display z-scores). But no alerts yet...

Kind regards,
